About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Two Weeks Notice Drafter is a job search tool that analyzes employment details, contracts, and role descriptions from any webpage, then drafts a professional, respectful resignation letter giving two weeks' notice. It identifies the role, company, and relevant employment context, then generates a well-structured letter that gives two weeks' notice, clearly states the effective date, sincerely expresses gratitude for the opportunity and experience, offers to assist with the transition, and maintains a positive relationship with the employer. You can choose between a standard or appreciative style, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in your email client or letter format.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying employment details, contracts, role descriptions, or similar professional documents. Common sources include company directories, employment portals, contract management systems, and internal company documentation.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays employment details, a contract, or a role description. Open the BotGentz extension and select Two Weeks Notice Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Optionally, enter your current position and a transition assistance offer. Enter the effective date of your resignation. Select your preferred style (standard or appreciative) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Notice" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant employment details and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a professional, respectful resignation letter in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client.

TECHNICAL SECTION — EMPLOYMENT DETAIL AND CONTRACT EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on employment and contract communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing employment indicators such as "employment," "position," "role," "contract," "title," "department," "manager," "company," "hire date," and "responsibilities." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the employment data and surrounding structural markers (job titles, department names, manager names, key responsibilities). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of an employment context using features like professional language frequency ("position," "role," "department," "supervisor"), employment markers, and role description patterns. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into three core categories: the position title and role, the department or team, and any relevant employment context. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, position, effective date, transition note, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete resignation letter with standardized sections (formal statement of resignation, effective date, gratitude expression, transition assistance offer, and professional closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI drafting feature. AI-generated resignation letters are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before submission, as interpretations may occasionally miss employment details or misread the organizational context. Websites change their employment page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
