Job Application Cover Note Personalizer reads the current page's job description and your resume or background, then generates a personalized cover note that adapts your experience to match the specific job requirements, highlighting relevant skills and achievements. The tool helps you create tailored cover letters for each application without starting from scratch every time.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool works on any webpage that displays job descriptions, including LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, company career pages, and other job boards. It automatically detects job description content from the page. You paste your resume or background information directly into the panel. The script runs on all websites as designated in its match patterns.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any job posting page. Click the Job Application Cover Note Personalizer icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+C). The panel will open. Click "Extract Job Description" to automatically capture the job description from the page. Paste your resume or background information into the resume area—this is saved locally for future sessions. Choose your preferred tone (Professional, Enthusiastic, or Confident), desired length (Short, Medium, or Detailed), and signature preference. Toggle whether to include specific achievements, skills match, and company research. Click "Generate Cover Note" to produce a personalized cover note. The note appears in the panel where you can review, edit further, and then copy to your clipboard with the "Copy Cover Note" button.

TECHNICAL SECTION — JOB REQUIREMENT MAPPING AND ACHIEVEMENT ALIGNMENT

Unlike generic cover letter generators, this tool uses a job requirement mapping and achievement alignment engine. It first extracts key requirements and responsibilities from the job description, then analyzes your resume to identify matching skills, experiences, and achievements. The engine maps your relevant qualifications to specific job requirements, ensuring the cover note directly addresses what the employer is looking for. The AI generates a note that highlights the most relevant aspects of your background, frames your achievements in the context of the job, and demonstrates your understanding of the role. The system prompt instructs the AI to create cover notes that are specific, compelling, and show clear alignment between your experience and the job requirements. This approach produces cover notes that grab hiring managers' attention and increase your chances of landing an interview.

THE PANEL

The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the job description or cover note. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (tone, length, include achievements, include skills, include company research, signature) are saved globally and persist across sessions. Your resume text is stored locally in your browser.
