Job Application Status Tracker Note Generator reads the current page's job details—including company name, job title, application date, and status if visible—and user-provided notes, then generates a structured status tracking note with key milestones, next steps, and follow-up reminders that you can add to your tracking spreadsheet or system. The tool helps you organize and monitor your job applications efficiently.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool works on any webpage that displays job application details, including job posting pages, application portals, email clients, and company career sites. It automatically extracts job details from the page content. The script runs on all websites as designated in its match patterns.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any page showing job application details. Click the Job Application Status Tracker Note Generator icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+J). The panel will open. Click "Extract from Page" to automatically capture the company name, job title, application date, status, and key contacts from the current page—or enter the information manually. Add any additional notes in the notes area. Choose your preferred note format (Bullet Points, Paragraph, or Table), and toggle whether to include next steps, follow-up dates, key contacts, and application timeline. Click "Generate Note" to produce a structured tracking note. The note appears in the panel where you can review, edit further, and then copy to your clipboard with the "Copy Note" button. Paste the note into your spreadsheet, document, or tracking system.

TECHNICAL SECTION — STRUCTURED STATUS NOTE GENERATION

Unlike simple note-taking tools, this tool uses a structured status note generation engine. It extracts or collects key application details including company name, job title, application date, current status, key contacts, and user notes. The AI receives this structured context along with your format and inclusion preferences, generating a comprehensive tracking note that organizes information into clear sections: application timeline, key milestones, next steps, follow-up reminders, and contact details. The system prompt instructs the AI to create notes that are actionable and easy to update as the application progresses. This approach produces consistently formatted tracking notes that help you manage multiple applications without losing important details or deadlines.

THE PANEL

The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the job details or generated note. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (format, include next steps, include follow-up dates, include key contacts, include timeline) are saved globally and persist across sessions. Your notes are stored locally in your browser.
