Job Listing Fit Analyzer reads the current page's job listing content—including title, description, requirements, responsibilities, and company info—then compares it against your stored profile of skills, experience, education, and preferences. It produces a clear fit score from 0–100, a breakdown of matching qualifications versus missing ones, and an overall recommendation on whether to apply. The analysis highlights exactly which of your strengths align with the role and which gaps you would need to address.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool works on major job boards including LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster, CareerBuilder, and many company career pages. It detects job listing structures automatically and adapts to different page layouts. If a site is not yet supported, you can use the manual selection mode to highlight the job description text.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any supported job listing page. Click the Job Listing Fit Analyzer icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+J). The panel will open and instantly begin scanning the page. Your stored profile is loaded from your secure account—if you haven't set one up yet, you will be prompted to create it with your skills, work history, education level, and job preferences. The analysis appears within seconds. You can adjust the importance weighting of different criteria directly in the panel to match your personal priorities.

TECHNICAL SECTION — SEMANTIC QUALIFICATION MAPPING

Unlike simple keyword matchers, this analyzer uses a semantic qualification mapping engine. It parses job requirements into structured competency nodes—categorized as must-have, nice-to-have, or preferred—and maps each against your profile using a multi-layered comparison. Skills are matched through a combination of exact-term, synonym, and hierarchical taxonomy resolution (e.g., "JavaScript" matches "ECMAScript" and "JS"). Experience requirements are evaluated by parsing duration phrases ("5+ years"), seniority levels, and industry contexts against your timeline. Education matches against degree levels and fields using a normalized scale. The engine then applies a weighted scoring model where each qualification node contributes based on its importance, producing a transparent, explainable fit score with per-requirement reasoning visible on demand.

THE PANEL

The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more or less of the breakdown. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings are saved per site so your preferred layout persists across sessions.
