About this app

WHAT IT DOES

LinkedIn Message Drafter reads the current LinkedIn message thread content—including the recipient's name, profile headline, and recent message history—then generates a professionally drafted reply message tailored to the conversation context. You can review, edit, and send the draft manually. The tool analyzes the recipient's headline and the full message flow to produce contextually appropriate responses that match the conversation's tone and subject matter.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool works on LinkedIn messaging pages, including the messaging inbox, individual conversation threads, and the messaging overlay on profile pages. It detects LinkedIn's message interface automatically and extracts the relevant conversation data. It runs exclusively on LinkedIn domains, as designated in the script's match patterns.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any LinkedIn message thread. Click the LinkedIn Message Drafter icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+L). The panel will open and display the current message context. Click "Refresh Context" to load the recipient information and message history. Choose your preferred tone (Professional, Casual, or Friendly), desired length (Short, Medium, or Detailed), and signature preference. Click "Generate Draft" to produce a reply. The draft appears in the panel where you can review, edit further, and then copy to your clipboard with the "Copy Draft" button. Paste the message into LinkedIn's message field and send it manually.

TECHNICAL SECTION — CONTEXTUAL CONVERSATION SYNTHESIS

Unlike generic message templates or simple fill-in-the-blank tools, this drafter uses a contextual conversation synthesis engine. It first extracts the complete message thread structure, identifying the recipient's identity and professional headline from LinkedIn's DOM. The engine then builds a chronological conversation map that preserves the flow of the dialogue. The AI receives this structured context along with your selected tone, length, and signature preferences. The system prompt instructs the AI to generate replies that reference specific points from the conversation history, maintain appropriate professional boundaries, and reflect the recipient's stated background and role. This produces replies that sound genuinely responsive to the actual conversation rather than generic form letters. The AI is capped at 1,024 tokens to ensure focused, concise outputs that are easy to review.

THE PANEL

The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the context or draft areas. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (tone, length, signature) are saved per site and persist across sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active monthly subscription to function. AI-generated draft replies are for informational and convenience purposes only and should be reviewed and edited by you before sending any message. You remain fully responsible for all communications sent through LinkedIn. LinkedIn changes its page layouts frequently; scripts may need updates, and we work to keep them current but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Message context data is extracted from the page and sent to the AI service solely for generating your draft; it is not stored on our servers. No messages are sent automatically—you maintain full control over every message you send.
