About this app
WHAT IT DOES
LinkedIn Profile Summary Rewriter reads the current LinkedIn profile page—including the existing summary/about section text, profile headline, current role, and experience—then generates rewritten summary versions in different tones and styles that you can review, edit, and apply to your own LinkedIn profile. The tool helps you optimize your professional brand by providing multiple options that highlight different aspects of your experience and career narrative.
WHERE IT RUNS
This tool works on LinkedIn profile pages, including your own profile and public profiles. It detects LinkedIn's profile interface automatically and extracts the relevant summary and experience information. It runs exclusively on LinkedIn domains, as designated in the script's match patterns.
HOW TO USE
After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any LinkedIn profile page. Click the LinkedIn Profile Summary Rewriter icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+P). The panel will open and display the extracted profile context. Click "Refresh Profile" to load the person's name, headline, current role, company, existing summary, and experience highlights. Choose your preferred tone (Professional, Casual, Confident, or Narrative), desired length (Short, Medium, or Detailed), and provide any industry or role context. Toggle whether to include keywords and specific achievements. Click "Generate Rewrite" to produce a rewritten summary. The rewritten text appears in the panel where you can review, edit further, and then copy to your clipboard with the "Copy Rewrite" button. Paste the rewritten summary into your LinkedIn profile's About section editor and save it.
TECHNICAL SECTION — TONE-ADAPTIVE NARRATIVE RESTRUCTURING
Unlike simple synonym replacement tools or generic template fillers, this tool uses a tone-adaptive narrative restructuring engine. It first extracts the complete profile context including the existing summary, headline, current role, and experience entries. The engine then analyzes the semantic structure of the original summary—identifying career narrative arcs, achievement highlights, skill clusters, and professional identity statements. The AI receives this structured context along with your tone and length preferences, and generates a completely restructured summary that reframes your professional story while preserving factual accuracy. Different tones produce different narrative approaches: Professional emphasizes credentials and measurable results, Casual focuses on relatable language and collaborative spirit, Confident highlights leadership and impact, and Narrative tells a career story with chronological or thematic flow. This approach produces summaries that feel authentic and fresh rather than reworded versions of the original. The AI is capped at 1,024 tokens to ensure focused outputs.
THE PANEL
The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the profile context or rewritten summary. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (tone, length, industry context, keyword inclusion, achievement inclusion) are saved per site and persist across sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active monthly subscription to function. AI-generated rewritten summaries are for informational purposes and should be reviewed and edited by you before updating your profile. You remain fully responsible for the content of your LinkedIn profile. Profile information is extracted from the page and sent to the AI service solely for generating rewrites; it is not stored on our servers. LinkedIn changes its page layouts frequently; scripts may need updates, and we work to keep them current but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
