About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Salary Negotiation Message Drafter reads the current page's offer details—including company name, job title, offered salary, benefits summary, and any market research you've entered—then generates a professional salary negotiation message draft. You can review, edit, and send the message via email. The tool creates contextually appropriate negotiation responses that reference market data, highlight your value, and maintain a collaborative tone while advocating for your compensation goals.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool works on any website that displays job offer details, including email interfaces, offer letter pages, job portals, company career pages, or any page where you might capture offer information. It automatically detects relevant context from the page or accepts manual input. The script runs on all websites as designated in its match patterns.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any page with offer details. Click the Salary Negotiation Message Drafter icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+S). The panel will open. Click "Extract from Page" to automatically capture company name, job title, offered salary, and benefits from the current page. Enter any additional market research in the market research area—comparative salary data, cost of living adjustments, or industry benchmarks. Choose your preferred tone (Professional, Confident, or Collaborative), desired length (Short, Medium, or Detailed), and signature preference. Toggle whether to include market research references in the draft. Click "Draft Negotiation Message" to generate a professional response. Review and edit the draft in the panel, then copy it to your clipboard with the "Copy Draft" button. Paste the message into your email and send it.

TECHNICAL SECTION — MARKET-REFERENCED COMPENSATION FRAMING

Unlike basic salary request templates or simple counter-offer generators, this tool uses a market-referenced compensation framing engine. It analyzes the offer details holistically—base salary, benefits package components (bonus, equity, PTO, etc.), and the market research you provide. The engine understands that effective salary negotiation requires framing requests within the context of market data, company-specific factors, and your unique value proposition. When you provide market research, the AI synthesizes this with the offer details to generate references that demonstrate your negotiation is grounded in objective data rather than arbitrary demands. The system prompt instructs the AI to structure the message with appropriate professional framing—expressing enthusiasm for the role while respectfully requesting adjustment, referencing specific market data points, and maintaining a collaborative tone that invites further discussion. This produces negotiation messages that position you as a thoughtful, well-researched candidate rather than someone making an aggressive demand. The AI is capped at 1,024 tokens to ensure focused, concise outputs that are easy to review.

THE PANEL

The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the offer details or draft areas. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (tone, length, signature) are saved globally and persist across sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active monthly subscription to function. AI-generated draft messages are for informational and convenience purposes and should be reviewed, edited, and personalized by you before sending. You remain fully responsible for all communications sent to employers. Offer details and market research are sent to the AI service solely for generating your draft; they are not stored on our servers. No messages are sent automatically—you maintain full control over every message you send. Compensation negotiation outcomes depend on many factors; this tool provides drafting assistance only and does not guarantee specific results.
