About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Job Rejection Reply Drafter reads the current page's job rejection email or message content—including company name, job title, and rejection reason if provided—then generates a professional, gracious reply draft that you can review, edit, and send via email. The tool helps you maintain positive relationships with employers and hiring managers even after a rejection, preserving networking opportunities for future roles.
WHERE IT RUNS
This tool works on any webpage that displays job rejection emails or messages, including email clients, job application portals, LinkedIn messages, and company career sites. It automatically detects rejection context from page content or accepts manual input. The script runs on all websites as designated in its match patterns.
HOW TO USE
After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any page showing a job rejection message. Click the Job Rejection Reply Drafter icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+R). The panel will open. Click "Extract from Page" to automatically capture the company name, job title, and rejection reason from the current page. Choose your preferred tone (Professional, Appreciative, or Networking), and toggle whether to request feedback and request to stay in touch. Click "Draft Reply" to generate a professional, gracious reply. The draft appears in the panel where you can review, edit further, and then copy to your clipboard with the "Copy Draft" button. Paste the message into your email client and send it.
TECHNICAL SECTION — REJECTION CONTEXT EXTRACTION AND REPLY GENERATION
Unlike generic email templates, this tool uses a rejection context extraction and reply generation engine. It first scans the page DOM to identify rejection-related content using multiple strategies—extracting company names, job titles, and rejection reasons from page text patterns. The engine intelligently identifies key information even when presented in different formats. The AI receives this structured context along with your tone and preference settings, generating a reply that is both professional and appropriately gracious. The system prompt instructs the AI to craft replies that acknowledge the rejection positively, maintain a respectful tone, and optionally request feedback or express interest in future opportunities. This approach produces replies that feel genuine and personalized rather than generic.
THE PANEL
The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the rejection context or draft. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (tone, request feedback, stay in touch, signature) are saved globally and persist across sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active monthly subscription to function. AI-generated draft replies are for informational and convenience purposes and should be reviewed and edited by you before sending any message. You remain fully responsible for all communications sent to employers. Rejection message content is extracted from the page and sent to the AI service solely for generating your draft; it is not stored on our servers. No messages are sent automatically—you maintain full control over every message you send.
