About this app

WHAT IT DOES

LinkedIn Recommendation Drafter reads the current LinkedIn profile's name, headline, current role, and company, then generates a professional recommendation draft that you can review, edit, and post as a recommendation on LinkedIn. The tool helps you write thoughtful, personalized recommendations for colleagues, team members, managers, and professional contacts with minimal effort.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool works on LinkedIn profile pages, including both your connections' profiles and public profiles. It automatically extracts profile information from the page content. It runs exclusively on LinkedIn domains as designated in the script's match patterns.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any LinkedIn profile page. Click the LinkedIn Recommendation Drafter icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+L). The panel will open and display the extracted profile context. Click "Refresh Profile" to load the person's name, headline, current role, company, and summary. Choose your preferred tone (Professional, Warm, or Enthusiastic), desired length (Short, Medium, or Detailed), and toggle whether to include specific skills, achievements, and collaboration details. Click "Generate Draft" to produce a professional recommendation. The draft appears in the panel where you can review, edit further, and then copy to your clipboard with the "Copy Draft" button. Paste the recommendation into LinkedIn's recommendation form and post it.

TECHNICAL SECTION — PROFESSIONAL RECOMMENDATION GENERATION ENGINE

Unlike generic recommendation templates, this tool uses a professional recommendation generation engine. It extracts the profile's key details including name, headline, current role, company, and summary. The AI analyzes this information and generates a recommendation that highlights the person's professional strengths, skills, and contributions. The system prompt instructs the AI to craft recommendations that are specific, genuine, and appropriate for the professional context, while incorporating your tone and length preferences. The engine can include specific skills mentioned in the profile, potential achievements, and collaboration details to make the recommendation feel personalized and authentic. This approach produces recommendations that reflect well on both the person being recommended and the recommender.

THE PANEL

The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the profile context or draft. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (tone, length, include skills, include achievements, include collaboration) are saved per site and persist across sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active monthly subscription to function. AI-generated draft recommendations are for informational purposes and should be reviewed and edited by you before posting. You remain fully responsible for all content you post on LinkedIn. Profile information is extracted from the page and sent to the AI service solely for generating your draft; it is not stored on our servers. LinkedIn changes its page layouts frequently; scripts may need updates, and we work to keep them current but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
