About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Upwork Bid Drafter reads the current Upwork job posting page—including job title, description, required skills, budget, and client history—then generates a persuasive and personalized bid draft that you can review, edit, and submit on Upwork. The tool helps freelancers win more contracts by creating professional, tailored proposals that address client needs and highlight relevant experience.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool works on Upwork job posting pages, including the main job listing view and the proposal submission page. It automatically extracts job details from the page content. It runs exclusively on Upwork domains as designated in the script's match patterns.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and subscribing, navigate to any Upwork job posting page. Click the Upwork Bid Drafter icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+U). The panel will open and display the extracted job context. Click "Extract from Page" to automatically capture the job title, description, required skills, budget, and client history from the current page. Choose your preferred tone (Professional, Enthusiastic, or Confident), and toggle whether to include relevant experience, portfolio links, a question for the client, and a call to action. Click "Draft Bid" to generate a persuasive bid. The draft appears in the panel where you can review, edit further, and then copy to your clipboard with the "Copy Draft" button. Paste the bid into Upwork's proposal form and submit it.

TECHNICAL SECTION — UPWORK BID GENERATION ENGINE

Unlike generic proposal templates, this tool uses an Upwork bid generation engine. It extracts key job details including the job title, description, required skills, budget, and client history. The AI analyzes this information and generates a bid that addresses the client's specific needs, highlights your relevant experience and skills, and presents a clear value proposition. The system prompt instructs the AI to craft bids that are persuasive and personalized, incorporating a question for the client to encourage engagement and a call to action to drive responses. The engine can include portfolio links and relevant experience to build credibility. This approach produces bids that stand out to clients and increase your chances of being hired on Upwork.

THE PANEL

The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the job details or draft. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (tone, include experience, include portfolio, include question, include call to action) are saved per site and persist across sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active monthly subscription to function. AI-generated draft bids are for informational purposes and should be reviewed and edited by you before submitting. You remain fully responsible for all proposals you submit on Upwork. Job details are extracted from the page and sent to the AI service solely for generating your draft; it is not stored on our servers. No bids are submitted automatically—you maintain full control over every proposal you send. Upwork changes its page layouts frequently; scripts may need updates, and we work to keep them current but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
